Director of Yield Management
The Director of Yield Management is a critical role in maximizing yield and revenue for Vevo.
Partnering and collaborating alongside the Sales, Finance, Operations, Product Marketing and Product Development teams, the Director of Yield Management is the day-to-day point of contact for multiple internal constituents and is responsible for building successful, long-term relationships with these constituents. The Director of Yield Management will also be proactive in identifying and taking action to address potential opportunities and foreseeing issues with processes and systems.
Primary responsibilities:
· Handle forecasting and trend analysis as well as marketplace analysis to create benchmarks, establish pricing, and proposal comparisons
· Build annual revenue plans and develop sales goals (quarterly and monthly) to meet corporate budget
· Manage inventory across the Vevo platform
· Forecast inventory capacity, availability, and marketplace demand
· Optimally monetize digital inventory to meet and exceed revenue sales goals
· Monthly liability reports, tracking forecasts and revenue, analysis and budgeting, sellouts, options, weekly business activity, etc
· Project inventory fill rates required to achieve revenue goals
· Work closely with digital sales and finance teams on budget forecasting and revenue/pipeline monitoring
· Work closely with site teams to develop strategies to increase or decrease inventory availability based on market demand
· Identify opportunities and implement solutions that increase the effectiveness and efficiencies of Vevo’s operations - including the development of tools, process, and reports
· Maximize revenue and minimize liability through inventory control and strategic ad placements
Skills:
· Experience with yield and inventory management methodologies
· Ability to lead, work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment with a positive demeanor
· Effective problem-solving skills, specifically the ability to assess situations, evaluate options, make decisions, draw conclusions, and exercise judgment
· Intimately familiar with online media planning and trafficking tools and technology; proficiency with comScore, DART, Atlas, etc. preferred
· Excellent organizational, mathematical, interpersonal, and communication (written and oral) skills
· Proven capacity to utilize analytics to drive campaign optimization
· Advanced skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Salesforce
