Our client is one of the largest independent global PR, Investor Relations and Events consultancies in the world. They have 70 plus offices in over 40 countries in Western and Eastern Europe, the US, Eurasia, the Middle East and Asia Pacific with a large network of partners in other areas of the world. In the UK they employ over 200 people.
It is a multi award winning consultancy specialising in integrated communications.. Their four main practices are public relations, public affairs, investor relations and events.
The Role:
Director of the Financial Professional Services team within Corporate and Financial Practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for a team 12 and more than 15 clients, will report to Managing Director, Corporate Financial and will have a seat on the Management Board of the agency.
Clients in the Financial Professional Services team fall into the following specialist areas - consumer and corporate banking, personal finance and investment, venture capital, insurance and pensions, legal, executive search, FX and stock exchanges.
The Candidate will have:
- 10 -12 years working within financial services PR most recently at an agency or in-house role.
- Outstanding skills within B2B and B2C communications, reputation management, crisis management and issues management.
- An exemplary understanding of the news agenda and how this impacts on clients.
- Accustomed to understanding complex issues and creating meaningful campaigns that make a real impact.
- Ideally with a strong grounding in retail and/or institutional financial services.
- Must have agency experience as you will be responsible for the growth of the team through business development, leading pitching teams and managing PL.
