Director- Operational Risk (Ref no:D-OR/DK090312) recruitment
This is a critical role that will be based in Hong Kong and directly report to the Regional Head of Operational Risk of Asia. Your main responsibilities would include risk identification, assessment and analysis for designated regional areas, lead/conduct ORM deep dives and lead initiatives to identify, assess and reduce operational risk within the products. You will be required to inform and influence management understanding of operational risk. Working closely with colleagues in the global Operational risk team, you will take lead on investigating what is causing metrics to deviate from trend and escalating situations that pose excessive risk and identifying root causes of major internal losses and ensuring similar businesses in the region are aware of risks and recommendations. Identifying exposures in planned new products and services through the various committee processes and ensuring mitigating steps are taken to prevent losses upon implementation will be an essential part of the role as well.
To be eligible for this position you possess a relevant degree, ideally in Economics or Finance and hold professional qualification as CPA, CIMA, ACA or similar. You must have at least 10+ years of working experience within a global bank, ideally investment banking and extensive knowledge of financial markets products and services. Good knowledge of Capital Markets and/or Finance is desirable. Prior experience in Enterprise wide risk will be significant plus. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to deal with senior stake holders across the business.
