Director or Associate Director – Relationship Manager

The position is based in Sao Paulo. Very modest domestic travel required.
Job Description
We are seeking a persuasive and assertive Director or Associate Director with some debt capital markets experience and credit background to assist our Business Relationship Management team in Brazil. This position will be responsible in assisting growing revenue for the company and value, renewal of contracts and to focus on prospecting, discussing and closing transactions for the Brazil office, with a focus on Corporate names (other portfolios may be considered according to the applicant’s experience). The candidate is expected to provide marketing support to analysts at a tactical level.
Person Specification
The person will have experience as a relationship manager in a financial institution or in the debt capital markets (DCM) space with an understanding of the key market participants in this business. The key specifications include:
• A minimum of three years relevant marketing or relationship management experience in debt capital market or the banking/financial services sector
• Knowledge of industries, sectors and financial instruments
• Reasonable command of the main credit analysis aspects
• Persuasive presentation, through written and personal interfaces with issuers and bankers, the benefits of our analytical products and services
• Good communication and presentation skills, verbal and written, both in English and Portuguese
• Mature, enquiring, dynamic personality. Confident but not arrogant; good at handling nerves in a tight spot
• Ability to cope with time pressure and deadlines
• Prior use or knowledge of major credit research products and services is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and criticize information received, high work standards, and excellent attention to detail
• Team orientation, with ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of co’s various criteria’s
Preferred academic background: Degree in Administration, Economics or Engineering
