The Director, OD Learning acts as a member of the HR OE Senior Team and is responsible for helping to set the OD and Training strategy, direction, objectives and metrics for the company in alignment with the company's balanced scorecard and overall HR strategy. The Director, OD Learning will manage one of the following functions: Performance and Talent Management/Succession Planning, Professional/Product/Technical/Systems Content Development, Management Leadership Development, E-Learning/Course development, Organizational development practice.

Position Overview

Design and Implement OD initiatives:
* Develops change management strategies, plans and tools to help managers and employees adapt to complex organizational changes
* Designs and facilitates the company succession planning and executive leadership development process/program
* Develops coaching solutions for executive leaders; manages employee engagement survey design, execution, action planning process, employee retention, and performance improvement processes
* Conducts training/learning needs assessment in collaboration with field, corporate and HR leadership; develops gap analysis, validates organizational goals/objectives and recommends training objectives; works with HR business partners to measure ROI/quality standards

Leadership Consultation:
* Provides leadership, consultation and design work to develop field instructor-led learning initiatives (delivered in-house or via outside vendor/consultants), computer and web-based training, on-line/e-learning, Train-the-Trainer, and cross-functional opportunities to accelerate productivity, team alignment, and other organizational/workforce issues
* Develops overall strategy to determine make vs. buy" decisions regarding all Training/Learning opportunities
* Determines vendor selection and provides vendor management
* Collaborates with key HR and business stakeholders to develop and pilot learning/change management initiatives
* Brings Best in Class" thinking and knowledge regarding adult learning and organization learning to business solutions
* Consults with company management to proactively drive an annual OD/Training budget for the company in support of key business drivers
* Provides consultation on small to large scale reorganization, coaching senior executives in managing organizational change, developing leadership skills, and communicates, interprets and leads compliance of human resources policies, procedures, law, standards, and government regulations for employees and managers
* Collaborates with HR Generalist/Business Partners to identify new OD opportunities and to integrate OD efforts with current HR services
* Collaborates with HR Senior Leadership Team in setting and driving key HR strategies, goals and objectives

Managing Staff:
* Selects, develops and evaluates employees to ensure efficient operation of their function, personal growth and development.
* Conducts 1x1 sessions on a regular basis.
* Performs mid-year and annual reviews.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* High tech or equivalent industrial/engineering related industry experience
* 10+ years experience in OD, HR or business consulting, with at least 5 years people management
* Technical expertise in OD, HR, Consulting, employee training and leadership development
* Demonstrated capacity to communicate with all levels of employees, influence outcomes, and establish creditability
* Experience in the implementation of strategic planning, leadership development, team development and talent management processes
* Strong facilitation and feedback abilities
* Experience in implementation of assessment, diagnosis cultural and large-scale organizational change

Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree, Master's Degree and CBP or equivalent completion of professional OD certification program
* Telecommunications experience
* Retail experience
* 12+ years in OD, HR or business consulting
