Director, OTC Reform
The successful candidate will have responsibilities for preparing for meeting all of the compliance and implementation requirements imposed by the Rules associated
with the clearing and electronic execution of derivatives in the US, Australia and Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the Global Markets business is prepared for and complies with rules associated with Dodd Frank regulations ( OTC Reform ).
- Reviewing and interpreting the Rules, giving advice to the business about how to comply, and how and when to apply for any relevant exemptions;
- Prioritising the preparation for compliance with Rules by reference to the degree of Importance and Urgency
- Internal stakeholder management
- Assisting the business and project teams in implementing controls and operational requirements, according to the agreed priorities.
- Teaming up with other compliance teams ( Australia- Pacific-Europe-Americas) to ensure compliance.
Skills and experience:
- Law degree
- Extensive working knowledge of regulatory/legislative compliance principles and practices
- Extensive experience working with Regulators on new markets-related rules and regulatory reform
- Dodd Franks experience is essential.
- Knowledge of financial markets is essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to persuade, influence and build rapport with others
- Must be an autonomous worker and be willing to be hands on when needed.
