Drive Strategy
• In collaboration with the BO IT line organization and the business, define and maintain the BO IT strategy supporting business requirements effectively and efficiently
• Define and monitor the portfolio of BO IT strategic initiatives moving the landscape into the right direction
• Collaborate actively with Front Office IT strategy to ensure front-to-back integration is as efficient as possible

Maintain a highly motivated IT workforce
• Develop a small, highly-effective and well-respected team executing at superior levels of performance
• Attract, develop, and retain top-notch staff members
• Cycle/promote staff into relevant IT or business roles
.
Build strong working relationships and demonstrate personal leadership
• Lead through influence and persuasion rather than through direct power and authority
• Demonstrate strong understanding of current and future business and technology drivers and levers
• Be a respected partner and trusted advisor for the BO IT management and program managers as well as the business
• Provide leadership that promotes greater unity within IT
.
Personal requirements
• Demonstrable track record of people leadership, partnership, proactive approach, and principled behavior
• Good understanding of a banking enterprise and particularly of its operations processes and how things get done
• Good understanding of strategic drivers in a large and distributed enterprise
• Gravitas, presence and confidence with a range of senior business stakeholders in multiple cultures
• Intellectual honesty; willingness to speak up and advocate the best solution even if it may not be popular
• Ability to maintain an effective global understanding and presence
