Director, Private Equity Sales
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed sales plan and strategy tailored to each private equity fund offering
- General education on the benefits of private equity in a client portfolio
- Reflect a thorough understanding of the fund and how to position the offering from an investment standpoint
- Positioning within an existing asset allocation (which may or may not already include PE)
- Understanding of macro/micro investment themes
- Connectivity to Firm Research themes and messaging
- Reflect understanding of a client’s existing holdings and investment philosophy and/or process
- Covering institutional investors including pensions, endowments, universities, corporations and ultra net worth individuals
- Client prospecting
- Manage the Private Equity sales process
- Opportunity identification
- Initial pitch and presentation
- Investment committee presentations and investment process management
- Investor education
- Client on-boarding
- Be sufficiently well versed in the details of the fund to be able to handle all client inquiries
- Client relationship management and administration
Requirements
Extensive understanding of Private Equity industry to include:
- Extensive experience in Private Equity sales or relationship management
- Extensive experience soliciting Private Equity products to institutions and UHNW clients
- Must have an understanding of Reg. D private placement rules and regulations
- Proven sales leader and track record of success in Private Equity and alternative investments
- Existing book of business (i.e., LP / investor relationships)
- Enthusiastic and energetic
- Knowledge of institutional investors and investment process
