Director Product Management

ACI has an exciting opportunity for a Director Product Management – Card Management/Merchant Acquiring to join our team.

The Director of Product Management is responsible for the successful operations of the a Product Line by identifying product requirements, matching them to market needs, developing business and investment plans, executing the product line business plan, and communications of such internally and externally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Managing of personnel, pay, conditions, and associated payroll processes.
•Managing sign-off procedures, setting and controlling company budgets.
•Plans and Implements own staff career development and monitors staff career performance both formally and informally.
•Sets performance targets and monitors performance of area
•Facilitates communication by reporting up/down and liaise with management regularly and efficiently.
•Drives and approves market assessments, marketing/product/sales plans and programs.
•Reviews and approves sales, revenue and margin forecasts by product line.
•Development and approval of product and sales support materials, sales presentations, sales training materials, division-wide support materials an internal and external marketing communications materials.
•Drives pricing strategy and specific pricing and packaging of products and services.
•Establishes, maintains and manages relationships with strategic partners and distributors.
•Develops recommendations for "build/buy" decisions for new and existing products, services and enhancements.
•Reviews and evaluates competitive information on direct competitors.
•Manages interaction with customers, prospects and internal development personnel during the sales process and in the product definition phases of a project.
•Performs quality reviews of customer proposals, responses to RPF's RFQ's, etc. and contracts to ensure product integrity.
•Ensures adequate division participation in industry standards committees.
•Attends and presents at meetings, conferences, trade shows, etc.
•Other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements Needed:
•BA/BS degree in Business Administration or Computer Systems or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.
•10+ years experience in Consumer Card Management or Merchant Acquiring segments of the financial services industry.
•Detailed knowledge of the market requirements for software solutions in the Consumer Card management and/or Merchant Acquiring.
•5+ years experience in product or program management in a software vendor or processor environment.
•Proven knowledge in global markets regarding Consumer Card Management or Merchant Acquiring.
•5+ years management experience.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to large groups and senior executives.
•Ability to travel up to 35% both domestic and international travel.
•Proven experience in business development and use of partnering to achieve goals.
•Ability to write and develop marketing, product, business, and strategic plans.
•Proven leadership and excellent negotiation skills together with the ability to be assertive.
•Ability to work in high pressure, politically sensitive environments.
•Ability to interface with customers at senior level.

Highly Desired Skills:
•Ability to speak multiple languages such as Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, and French highly desired.
•Experience working in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment.
•Experience in modern software architecture, design, and development principles highly desired preferred.
•Understanding of the common infrastructure of the Retail Payments industry (Hardware, Middleware, 3rd Party Software) preferred.
