The Director of Professional Excellence is responsible for designing, coordinating, and monitoring standardized professional practices of clinicians while fostering achievement of performance excellence at all levels. She/he utilizes research and evidence to create and implement strategies that strengthen the clinical professional workforce, clinical practices and resulting clinical product to advance professionalism patient care while promoting job satisfaction and meaning in ones work.
Required Education
PhD in Nursing or DNP preferred. Matriculation in a PhD or DNP program with completion in less than 1 year required. Must have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island. Demonstrated leadership with the ability to plan strategically to meet the needs of the departments required. Knowledge of the Magnet credentialing process preferred. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be proficient in the English language.
