The Director of Quality Management/Infection Prevention and Control provides administrative leadership for the hospital's quality, patient safety, and infection prevention and control programs, focusing on outcomes which improve the quality, efficiency, and satisfaction of patient care. The Director of Quality Management/Infection Prevention and Control is responsible for the design, organization, and implementation of the GFH Quality and Infection Prevention plans and programs. The Director of Quality Management and Infection Prevention is responsible for managing accreditation survey readiness and compliance with and reporting to external agencies, including The Joint Commission, New York State Department of Health, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree highly desirable;

Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience in a leadership or management role required;

Three years quality management experience required; and

Certification in Healthcare Quality highly desirable (or obtained within two (2) years required)
