This Director, Regulatory Compliance assists the Laureate institutions by supporting the degree programs related to professional licensure, with an emphasis in psychology, counseling, nursing and related professions. The Director also supports the Institutional Quality and Integrity division in researching and staying apprised of state standards, legislation, and regulations related to the various licensure areas.
The position is part of the Institutional Quality and Integrity division and will report to the Executive Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct research on state and federal standards, legislation, regulations and other policy to assist in the development and implementation of licensure programs.
- Proactive outreach to licensure boards and state legislatures.
- Prepare testimony and make presentations before licensing boards and state legislatures.
- Conduct state-by-state research on licensure issues which may affect psychology, nursing, counseling, and other related professions.
- Analyze regulatory and legislative trends and concerns in order to inform strategic decision-making.
- Serve as liaison to professional licensure boards, collaborate and cooperate with associate deans in responding to student inquires including requests for documentation necessary for licensure.
- Support the other Laureate divisions including enrollment advisors, admissions, product development, academic advisors, by providing technical assistance in licensure regulations and policy.
- Willing to travel extensively, if necessary, in order to meet goals and objectives.
- Must possess strong written and high level presentation skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Doctorate preferred; Master's degree required
- Professional license in psychology, counseling or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional licensure or regulatory/legislative research preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in psychology, counseling, nursing, or a related field preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to reach resolutions.
- Strong self-initiative and ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects.
- Able to adapt to shifting priorities and respond expeditiously.
- Strong analytical skills.
