Director Regulatory Reporting

 

In connection with its being potentially subjected to additional federal oversight, FIRM is seeking candidates for opportunities in its Regulatory Reporting unit. This position is part of the External Reporting group within FIRM’s Corporate Controllers function. The director will be responsible for setting up the processes needed to produce and submit monthly and quarterly reports to the regulators. This position will be a subject matter expert on regulatory reports and will help represent the group in the enterprise. This is a position of leadership and critical to the organization. This person will oversee the capital ratio calculation and ensure that it is accurate and optimized. This person will train and manage one or more directs.

Responsibilities: 

•Generating capital ratios

•Monitor regulatory changes

•Partner with the Director of Fed Reporting projects to create and maintain the Regulatory infrastructure

•Respond to questions from management and regulators

•Manage ad hoc projects

•Provide leadership in setting up a sensitivity analysis process

•Educate stakeholders on regulatory matters, focusing on expectations and requirements

•Ensure policies and procedures are setup, maintained and followed

•Develop controls and review processes to ensure process integrity and data quality

Requirements

•B.A. / B.S. degree is required. Degree in accounting or finance is a plus

•8-12 years of experience in financial reporting.

•Experience in regulatory reporting is preferred (FRY-9C, FFIEC 009, TIC reports)

•Good interpersonal and communications skills

•Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting, including  capital ratio calculation

•Experience dealing with regulators
