We are seeking an exceptional person to join the Executive Staff Team and to lead Wesley Mission Brisbane’s Residential Aged Care Division. The position is based at our corporate office at Chermside in Brisbane’s Northern suburbs.
The Director, Residential Aged Care is responsible for a significant portfolio of residential aged care communities located in the Northern and Western suburbs of Brisbane. Our residential aged care communities offer a genuine commitment to maximising quality of life for each and every resident.
Our aged care communities live out Wesley Mission Brisbane’s Mission, Vision and Values. Our Mission, to walk alongside and in relationship with people to enhance their well-being is very strongly linked to the philosophical approach to Aged Care encapsulated in the Eden AlternativeTM.
Wesley Mission Brisbane’s Anam Cara is the first fully registered Eden AlternativeTM Aged Care Community in Queensland. All of our Residential Aged Care Communities embrace the Eden AlternativeTM.
We are committed to creating communities which are attractive, welcoming places to live and work. You will be leading 13 aged care communities across five main residential sites in Brisbane caring for almost 1000 residents. Wesley Mission Brisbane is progressing successfully through a major redevelopment strategy for each of our facilities. Our latest award winning facility, Parkview, was opened in 2010 and is now home to 145 residents. All facilities are fully accredited and you will be leading an excellent team of creative and committed people comprising 1000 staff and several hundred volunteers. This is an existing position replacing the current incumbent who has been part of the team for over 7 years.
WMB has a strong values base that drives planning and decision-making. We are an active member of Aged Care Queensland, part of the Uniting Church in Qld and relate closely with UnitingCare agencies.
