To capitalise on recent growth and deal flow, one of the world's leading business advisory firms, Ernst Young, is looking for an experienced MA professional to focus on transactions in the resources sector. The firm's MA team provides strategic advice to clients on public and private company mergers, acquisitions, divestments and strategic capital raisings. This position has been created to drive growth and capitalise on Ernst Young's leading position as a trusted business adviser to the resources sector and represents an opportunity for you to take your career to the next level.
As an Associate Director / Director your main focus will be on deal origination in the resources sector, execution and staff development.
To be successful you will have previous experience in originating and executing MA transactions in the resources sector, either in an advisory role or as a member of a corporate development team. Additionally you will possess:
· 7-10 years experience in MA, with 2-3 years within the resources sector
· Broad commercial and business acumen
· Excellent analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills
· The ability to train and develop junior staff members
· A team player attitude with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
· Strong academic record, including a degree in finance and/or mining/geology
· Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
