Direct and manage the Information Technology Department’s team that is responsible for the revenue cycle systems for Temple University Hospital (3 hospitals). Systems include front end patient management, patient accounting and billing applications, and health information management. System methodology will be applied for the plan, design, implementation, maintenance and enhancement components. This position will play a key role in implementing change with emphasis placed on integrating systems into the workflow processes to obtain maximum system benefits. The person will manage a staff (4-7 people) and work with all levels of management and the professional staff for the health system, other health organizations, and vendors.
Requirements:
- A Masters Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. A major in Finance, Healthcare Administration or Medical Records is preferred.
- At least 10 years of relevant information technology experience, including at least 5 in recent systems management/implementation of revenue cycle systems. Current system applications include IDX, Epic, Siemens, 3M, Alpha Systems, and MedQuist.
- Experience managing an IT department(s) for large, complex health system(s) with acute and ambulatory care settings.
- Prior people management experience.
- Accuracy, dependability, independence, and the ability to multi-task while leading teams to complete tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, to effectively work and collaborate with technical and non-technical people.
- The ability to work flexible hours as required.
