Director Risk Management
Our client is leading global Insurance Company serving commercial, institutional, and individual customers. They are accelerating the growth of their business in the Region. Looking to hire high caliber professionals with relevant expertise to their diverse team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide the highest level of internal and external customer service.
- Manage mortgage insurance operation including business development initiatives and manage cost center budgets.
- Proactively manage mortgage insurance regulatory environment utilizing internal and external resources.
- Directly hire, manage and develop branch personnel. Responsible for administration of personnel including review and development.
- Responsible for identifying and expanding MI and other business related opportunities.
- Prepare reporting and analyses to reflect branch activities and performance.
- Take action to ensure market share objectives are achieved at minimum cost, while at the same time, achieving profitability and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Act as key liaison to Hong Kong clients.
- Reconciliation of branch general ledger accounts to ensure appropriate allocations to parent companies.
- Mentors and assists underwriting staff as required to build on their interpretive and decision making skills.
- Maintains and controls pending case inventory to verify that all cases are processed within company standards. Provides guidance on the most complex applications.
- Coordinates with regional offices, marketing and other home office personnel to resolve problems and/or variances regarding the risk selection process.
- Makes field develops and conducts special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree.
- Ten years’ experience with five years management in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in leading multi-functional (i.e. risk management, operations, risk, finance, marketing) business groups.
- Knowledge of Hong Kong lending practices and the banking environment.
- Experience managing customer relationship at senior levels and negotiating long term structured transactions.
- Proficient in English
