Position Overview
As a Director in the Sales Planning and Reporting Department you will support and report VALIC's business efforts around the areas of sales, expenses, earnings and business productivity. This position actively supports members of the executive team in their decision making by providing analysis unique to VALIC. The position must successfully work cross-functionally to ascertain data and information for upstream delivery to the CEO and his/her direct reports.
This position is responsible for:
1. Weekly Sales Reporting to executive team and national sales team
2. Successful delivery of Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews
3. Ad-hoc reporting requests and special projects
The primary accomplishment for this role is to complete VALIC's annual budget review presentation for delivery to SAFG corporate. Secondary accomplishment is to successfully complete the annual mid-year review presentation for delivery to SAFG Corporate.
The best person in this role will need to go above and beyond the minimum requirements in terms of analysis, thinking outside of the box and seeing things to completion no matter the time needed.
Organization:
Position reports directly to Vice President of Management Reporting. There are no direct reports to this position.

Experience and Skils Required:
Undergraduate degree in finance/accounting with 5-MBA/CPA
Financial Services industry experience desirable
Superior Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills
