Directs manages the security transportation programs for the medical center, ensuring the personal safety security of members, employees, visitors, the protection of property assets. Develops, implements, evaluates policies procedures, ensures compliance w/ all legal requirements. Manages staff contract personnel. Essential Functions: - Upholds KP's Policies Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities applicable state, federal, local laws - Develops, implements, manages a comprehensive effective security, parking, transportation services program (TSM) in accordance w/ professional standards, JCAHO, federal, state, local laws, regulations - Manages the medical center security TSM staff - Ensures staff is fully trained follows established policies procedures - Monitors the performance of the contract staff - Develops, implements, manages service agreements for multi-site security support - Performs security assessments identifying liability, seeks solutions to reduce risk promotes asset protection of property - Designs develops a medical center security management plan manages all operational contingency planning - Develops presents security awareness training programs - Coordinates integrates new program development, policies, procedures, systems technology to achieve economy of effort scale, as well as maximum efficiency productivity in security services throughout the medical center - Consults w/ management for all security services, parking, transportation issues - Serves as liaison w/ local law enforcement authorities, emergency preparedness transportation management agencies - Conducts and/or manages medical center investigations in conjunction w/ Regional Security Investigations - Tracks, trends, analyzes, reports on security incidents recommends improvements to Leader - Serves as security program manager consultant on new construction/renovation project proposals - Designs the application utilization of electronic systems at all medical center locations - Assume other activities responsibilities from time to time as directed Qualifications: This is a repost of 124701. Basic Qualifications: - Substantial middle to senior management experience in security management, hospital security, or law enforcement management (usually seven (7) years) - Demonstrated experience in federal and state compliance requirements in governing security, safety, risk management, and transportation systems - Bachelor's degree or ten (10) years of security management experience required - Advanced degree preferred - Certification as Healthcare Protection Adminstrator (CHPA) or Protection Professional (CPP) certification preferred - Member of American Society of Industrial Security and/or International Association of Health, Safety Security preferred - Knowledge of TJC requirements, and federal, state, and local regulations - Knowledge of California penal code - Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment Preferred Qualifications: - Proficient in Word, Excel, basic spreadsheet and computer efficiency; Typing 40 wpm Notes: -Will travel approximately 1% -Current CA Driver's license -Directs and manages the security, parking and transportation programs for the Medical Center, ensuring the personal safety and security of members, employees, visitors, and the protection of property and assets -Develops, implements, evaluates policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with all legal requirements -Manages staff and contract personnel
