The Director of Site Optimization Testing acts as the leader in the Site Experience organization to continue to build out and evolve the analytics and testing ecosystem for Travelocity. Drives an open analytical culture in the organization ensuring that the organization has a strong understanding of testing and measuring concepts as well as ability to use the overall set of tools. Lead the Site Optimization organization to drive agile change, test concepts and drive incremental dollars to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies to improve monetization of site traffic and increase product conversion.
- Collaborate with product managers, marketing and line of business managers to develop and execute multivariate tests for different web and mobile applications.
- Analyze test results to make data-driven recommendations for site enhancements.
- Establish and maintain a testing pipeline based on a statistical framework (design of experiments), customer feedback, and a keen understanding of business priorities.
- Provide thought leadership and technical guidance in the area of multivariate testing and site optimization. Identify and educate different stakeholders on successes, failures and trends.
- Continue the build out of the Site Optimization Testing framework ensuring the plan is executed on time and budget working with IT and other organizations to ensure goals are met. Developing long term product roadmap with input from stakeholders.
- Drive continual improvement through the Site Optimization program. Accelerate program rate and drive incremental dollars to the business.
- Proactive deep dives into the business, through analytical methods, defining where opportunities may exist to improve the business. Work with horizontal and vertical product management teams to enhance product roadmaps and inform decisions.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in leading a web analytics team and a comprehensive site optimization and testing program.
- 10 years analytical experience in an eCommerce transactional environment perferrably in travel or retail.
- Hands-on understanding and experience with web/mobile analytics and testing tools (Tealeaf, Clicktale, OpinionLabs, Omniture Test Target, Google Analytics, Google Website Optimizer, Visual Sciences, Monetate).
- Experience in building and leading a testing organization.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and analysis, and online marketing and advertising.
- Experience in merging web analytics data with consumer research and behavioral data is a plus.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics. Advanced degree a plus but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence peers and executive leadership.
