Director- Solutions and Services recruitment
The Director - Solutions Services is responsible for driving the growth of the Commercial Lending segment through proactive and hands on pre-sales support for a range of services and products within the segment. This role also has a responsibility for executing the successful and timely delivery of client engagements focused on credit risk measurement and management, particularly the development, enhancement and validation of internal rating systems for banks, insurance companies and corporations. Support for the new business development with existing clients, identification of new clients, development of new service offerings, and thought leadership are also key responsibilities.
Essential Accountability
- Sells and delivers advanced credit risk management analytical services to financial institutions, insurers and corporations. Applies Basel II/III compliant and industry best practices methodologies for development, enhancement and validation of internal rating systems and credit risk aggregation and analysis. Delivers high quality analytical work that meets clients needs and expectations.
- Manages complex engagements from kick-off to completion with minimal direction. Manages largest projects (over $500,000) with minimal supervision. Responsible for completing engagement on time and under budget.
- Takes a lead client-facing role in promoting our competitive advantage to clients and other interested parties through thought leadership activities such as webinars, speaking engagements, publication of trade articles, offering third party training. , Identifies new client opportunities and actively supports the sales process.
- Contributes to analytical leadership of the practice through identification and development of new services offerings
- Supervises junior analysts on engagements.
- Provides extensive input on proposal development, particularly writing technical approach sections and cost estimations.
- Keeps abreast of market, industry and regulatory developments that effect existing services offerings and new service offerings.
- Travels to client site and for business development purposes
Additional Accountability
- Perform other duties related to Risk Solutions such as participation in staff meetings, assistance to Risk Solutions Product Managers
- Effective internal communications
- Participate in group wide initiatives, such as mentoring
- Responsible for developing a plan for individual professional growth and providing input on junior analysts PMP
Skills
- Minimum of a BS degree or equivalent
- Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in credit risk analysis (rating agency, financial market, consulting companies working in the credit space) and/or consulting or implementation experience in Basel 2/3, Solvency 2, or Economic Capital; and/or strong quantitative skills and in particular advanced statistics and/or econometrics are highly desirable
- The ability to analyze original, non-routine analytical/business problems (in the Credit Risk Management environment both internal to the organization and client) in a timely and insightful manner. Ability to translate such problem interpretation into relevant solutions.
- Senior Credit Risk analytical knowledge in various Asset Classes (for example Corporate, FI, Project Finance, etc) and attention to detail
- Strong quantitative skills and in particular advanced statistics and/or econometrics are highly desirable
- Robust project management/organization record. Ability to prioritize, take initiative and self-manage time, management of internal and external counterparties time, and demonstrated capacity to conduct multiple project planning and management
- Demonstrated strong written communications skills is required
- Demonstrated strong presentation skills in analytical and business development environment as well as excellent interpersonal communications skills are required
- Superior interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, consulting, analytical and problem solving abilities
- Team-oriented, innovative high achiever with a record of consistently exceeding client expectations.
- People management skills and ability to lead high achiever teams while sustaining a collaborative and team environment; and ability to train and develop junior resources
- Demonstrated ability to influence constituencies is a requirement, and some Consultative Selling experience is a plus
- Strong customer service orientation, and confidence in interacting with clients at all levels
- Highly proficient in EXCEL, WORD and POWERPOINT, proficient in Windows 2000/NT/XP, Access
- Full command of English language is a must, both in verbal and written English
- Second language skills highly valuable
- Willingness to travel
