Description:
This position is responsible for analyzing strategic business decisions and new business opportunities for the Studio. The Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development will help identify these decisions and opportunities while working collaboratively with the operating groups, Legal, and Business Affairs.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
* Identifies new WW opportunities in the media landscape and develops viable business models/economics including forecasting
* Analyzes key industry trends and maintains knowledge of competitive positioning
* Prepares PowerPoint presentations to brief senior management on new opportunities and strategic business decisions
* Coordinates greenlight packages with Planning and the operating groups
* Helps provide strategic direction and vision for the organization
* Works closely with stakeholders across multiple groups throughout the organization
* Maintains visible standing within the industry as a positive representative of Paramount Pictures
* Provides updates to senior/executive management on a regular basis
Qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
* Minimum 3 years experience in the media/filmed entertainment industry
* Minimum 7 years experience in business/corporate development
Desired skills:
* MBA highly desirable
* Banking background/MA experience a plus
* Proficiency in film economics and accounting
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite
* Excellent project and time management skills
* Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including skills to develop and make presentations to management
