GE Capital EMEA also includes Mubadala GE Capital PJSC, the commercial finance joint venture between GE and Mubadala, based in Abu Dhabi, which is focused on commercial investments around the world with a particular emphasis on the Middle East Role Summary/Purpose Pricing is one of the most critical management functions within GE Capital EMEA. The strategic pricing function exists to improve our pricing competency in key areas such as: ability to set product pricing, understand our product / segment profitability, optimize existing and identify new pricing levers, lead initiatives to assess price elasticity ensure that prices reflect the value we deliver to our customers, rather than being purely cost / market based. Essential Responsibilities

Pricing continues to be front and center in GE Capital, and this role will involve significant exposure to senior leaders.

Working closely with the local marketing, pricing, and finance teams, the role will involve supporting key NPI’s, using the latest pricing research tools to support the price setting process. What is also critical is to develop a robust price testing capability, putting data behind the price / volume trade discussion. The role will involve creating unique price strategies for customer acquisition, retention cross sell, with promotional pricing linked directly to our overall profitability.
Improving our ability to understand our price levers is critical also, understanding customer sensitivity to different levers such as interest, fees, insurance etc…and optimizing where relevant.

Key roles responsibilities are:

• Develop robust strategic pricing capability for price setting, price strategy and understanding the role and level of price across key products and platforms

• Drive pricing research on all key NPI product pricing decisions, ensuring prices are based on an assessment of customer value preference, not just market or cost based.

• Determine the optimal features/price position by target segment for new and current products. Segment our pricing to include customer preference, risk and profitability.
• Understand our price position relative to competitors, developing a strong competitor intelligence capability

• Establish price elasticity across relevant customer segments / products through market research leading best in class price testing capability. Incorporate key statistical modeling tools to support price decisions where relevant. Generalized linear modeling skills are an advantage.

• Developing marketing pricing strategies to improve mix and overall profitability

• Support the development of tools and reporting to ensure price leakage is visible acted upon

• Work closely with the commercial finance teams to understand all pricing levers, supporting reporting on pricing, ensure HQ pricing policies are followed

• Continually develop tools and lead best practice sharing to improve overall pricing competency

• Degree qualified with significant financial services experience

• Extensive experience of price setting and management in a B2B B2C pricing environment

• Excellent commercial skills and experience gained in leading or supporting product / marketing activities or groups

• Strong financial skills, with ability to link marketing activities to the financials, understanding all price levers

• Highly analytical, with experience of key statistical / modelling tools in this space, e.g logistical regression, is an advantage

• Proven ability to lead large projects and implement change around pricing business profitability

• Change agent, with proven ability to drive innovation in pricing or the commercial space, improving business profitability

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization

• Demonstrated team player with ability to work across functions (eg Sales, Finance, Risk)

• High energy, with ability to travel to key markets

Qualifications/Requirements • Degree qualified with significant financial services experience

• Extensive experience of price setting and management in a B2B B2C pricing environment
