Director, Structured Credit recruitment
Highland Capital Management, L.P. is an SEC-registered investment adviser with approximately $23 billion of assets under management. The firm is seeking a driven, experienced structured credit professional to analyze new CLO secondary investments, monitor its existing $1.3 billion secondary CLO portfolio and assist in management of its $14.5 billion of CLOs under management.
Responsibilities
- Source CLO security investment opportunities via interaction with the Street and other market participants
- Research and due diligence on new investment ideas, including detailed modeling, document review and structural analysis
- Monitor and manage investments in existing $1.3 billion portfolio of CLO securities
- Assist in portfolio management of $14.5 billion of CLOs under management
- Modeling of new CLO transactions
- Communicate extensively with firm’s credit committee members, analysts and portfolio managers to monitor opportunities and risks
Qualifications
- 4-5 years post-undergrad experience at a top-tier investment bank (banking or research) and/or at a buy-side firm
- Prior structured credit experience is required
- Extensive knowledge of CLOs and a background in credit analysis is preferred
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, outstanding modeling skills and solid business judgment
- An undergraduate degree from a highly ranked school
- MBA from top-tier business school is preferred
- Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, CMA, etc.) are strongly desired
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, writing and presentation skills
- Strong work ethic
- Job will be located in Dallas, TX
