Director Structured Finance

We have a superb opportunity for a Director of Structured Finance based in our Birmingham team. This a unique role within the Commercial Bank, offering a fantastic opportunity for self development, but also supporting the wider business in the delivery of the Ahead for Business agenda and ultimately delivering on the Bank's core values of serving our customers well.

Finance is responsible for working with the business delivering financial leadership, control, commercial insight and advice.  

Birmingham continues to be a highly successful office within the local  business community and we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual to lead our Structured Finance  business and be involved in various internal projects within Commercial Banking based in our extremely busy office, covering the Midlands area , a flexible approach is equally required, as is the ability to work remotely.

This is a varied and challenging role and you'll need a strong set of skills to succeed.

 
Strong interpersonal, negotiation and sales skills in demanding markets/environments.
Robust analytical/credit skills, with proven ability to structure a compelling lending paper.
Organised and detailed, as well as having the flair for deal structuring, being open-minded/creative as to funding solutions, but at the same time balancing the risk profile for the Bank.
Passionate and enthusiastic about "deal doing" and tenacious in the face of detailed challenges and potential set-backs, but never losing sight of the end-game, i.e. our customer.
Strong and robust product knowledge, as well as an appreciation of the Bank's internal requirements/procedures.
A high profile with a wide network of intermediaries and introducers.
This is an accredited role and the individual will need to pursue professional development via the external Chartered Institute of Securities Investments' Certificate in Corporate Finance.
