Director, Target Operating Model (Wealth Management) recruitment

Reporting to the COO, the Operating Model Lead is accountable for driving operating efficiencies out of the end to end operating model.

Core accountabilities

Operating Model Assessment

Typically this would be achieved by concentrating on three key elements of a typical operating model assessment

Scope of all work will range from macro issues to business or regionally specific, with a subsequently broad range of senior stakeholders. The role holder will be expected to work closely with the Business Architecture function and all functional areas within the busines and potentially across the Group to deliver results.

Problem Solving

The role holder will be expected to solve complex operating model questions on behalf of the COO, Operating Committee and Manco. The role holder will be expected to analyse the problem with objectivity, design an optimal solution and deliver organisational buy-in to the recommendations. Execution of the recommendations will sit with the most appropriate owner within the organisation.

Standardisation and Simplification

A key aim for all activity conducted by the role holder will be to deliver solutions that lead to simplification or, where appropriate, standardisation of the operating model. In doing so they should be looking to achieve one or more of the following outcomes: reduce operational cost; improve service delivery; mitigate operational risk.

Functional Model

The Wealth Management business has a defined functional model that articulates at a functional level the activities performed by the organisation. The model provides a baseline for all operating model work and the role holder will be expected to maintain and evolve that functional model as a management information tool, tracking the changing business landscape as operating model changes are implemented.
