Director, Tax Executive recruitment
Role Overview:
Member of the London based tax team responsible for (1) US tax support to EMEA GBAM and GWIM Tax Advisory Team and (2) International Planning support. As for EMEA GBAM and GWIM Tax Advisory role, responsibilities include analyzing the US tax aspects of new transactions and products in EMEA, participating in risk forums and other meetings as part of internal review procedures and coordinating with others in Corporate Tax to ensure that consistent positions are taken globally. Tax Executive may also provide US tax advice and assistance to AsiaPac GBAM and GWIM Tax Advisory Team. As for the international planning role, responsibilities include assisting with the implementation of various EMEA and global tax initiatives supporting regional and global planning groups.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to a Tax Manager in the Compliance and reporting team, the new recruit’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Handling and managing the local tax compliance responsibilities for a number of companies in the UK and other EMEA countries
- Day to day handling of the US and local GAAP tax reporting responsibilities for a number of companies in the UK and other EMEA countries
- Providing assistance in US tax record keeping both to meet compliance responsibilities and to assist in tax planning
- Providing assistance in US tax forecasting process both to meet compliance responsibilities and to assist in tax planning
- Providing assistance in roll out of various technological updates and processes within Corporate Tax department
- Provide input for accounts preparation and audit in relation to tax and related disclosures.
- Provide tax support for ad-hoc projects.
Experience:
- US tax professional with extensive financial services and/or financial product experience at some combination of a law firm, accounting firm or in-house tax department.
- CPA or Law degree (or equivalent) preferred.
