Director, Technology Integration Services
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Utilizes technical knowledge and management expertise to direct, organize and guide the cross functional activities of the Technology Integration Services department in accordance with established Information Systems goals for Fresenius Medical Care. Manages the Technology Integration Services staff and teams to provide services involving the cross-functional facilitation of IT standards, Enterprise Identity management, management and scheduling of application development environments, Technology research, leadership of complex IT problem resolution, enterprise application software configuration and application administration. Provides input to the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to ensure company business needs are met with respect to technology integration solutions.
Supports FMCNA's mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and FMS policy requirements.
DUTIES I ACTIVITIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Responsible for driving the FMS culture though values and customer service standards.

Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers.

Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.

Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Provides Technical Project Management planning, leadership and guidance for key projects ensuring product development teams have appropriate technology track leadership and understanding to facilitate infrastructure, security and middleware services to ensure the successful achievement of the strategic objectives of FMCNA. Advises senior management on leading trends, best practices and opportunities pertaining to technology integration services.

Manages the coordination and scheduling of activities associated with the cross-functional use of IT development, QA and Production environments, both physical and logical, for key applications such as Soarian Clinicals, Soarian Financials, SAP, Data Warehouse, FMC4ME and related applications and utilities.

Directs the activities of the cross functional project teams to ensure proper coordination, management and facilitation of technical activities related to the implementation of application software fixes and new product releases ensuring proper project methodology is followed.

Facilitates the cross-functional team development and maintenance of IT standards and architecture providing input on program approaches and strategies.

Directs facilitation services associated with requests to update to the IT standards manual and brief other senior IT personnel on the importance and impact of the proposed changes ensuring appropriate awareness.

Designs and directs the governance structure and activities associated with ensuring compliance with the IT enterprise architecture. Reviews and evaluates - implementing process, system and structure improvements as needed.

Collaborates with application development and infrastructure teams to align proposed and developing systems with the established IT architecture. Facilitates cross-functional discussions to determine whether to evolve the technical architecture to accommodate project needs.

Analyzes IT industry markets and trends to determine applicability to company goals and objectives. Provides technology research services for all IT departments upon request.

Selects and manages suppliers and their associated products and services as needed for all IT applications.

Assembles and leads cross-functional teams, under a matrix management structure, to address and resolve complex IT production problems.

Directs the development and maintenance of an enterprise identity management design and associated systems and processes

Leads the application administration team for all key enterprise applications to perform application administration functions such as configuration updates associated with company organization changes, or performance improvements, or error conditions for example.

Provides input and expertise to IT department long range planning activities.

Develops and adheres to departmental budget.

Provide direct formal supervision to Technical Integration Services department managers and staff establishing mutual goals and expectations at the beginning of the appraisal year, providing continual informal performance feedback during the year as well as being responsible for the formal annual performance appraisal process for the employees. Manages the department staffing through the appropriate recruiting, hiring, firing and disciplinary actions.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer science or related field.
Master's degree preferred
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 10 years in IT with multi-disciplinary experience and a proven track record managing technical personnel.
- 5 years in a senior IT management position managing complex IT environments
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
- Experience with application development and support
- Experience assembling and leading teams to resolve complex IT problems
- Broad understanding of IT technologies and interdependencies
