The Director of Trade Finance role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a wealth of Trade Finance experience. The role involves the marketing, origination and sales of Santander Corporate and Commercial Bank's Trade Finance Products Services to companies in the North Region Region, through the support of the relationship teams in the region's Corporate Banking Centres.
As a Director, Trade Finance your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Extensive experience of working in Trade finance
- Strong product knowledge and knowledge of localnetworks
- Demonstrate an in depth knowledge of the market place and apply expertise to identify and develop new business targets, solutions and strategies
- Able to assess customers' requirements quickly and efficiently, give guidance and build, develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
- Apply in depth knowledge and constructively input to credit proposals where applicable, assess the trade finance risk and provide commentary that supports theproposition
As a Director, Trade Finance your main responsibilities will involve:
- Deliver targeted levels of income through the provision of Trade Finance to companies with an annual turnover between £250k and £150m.
- Develop manage relationships with existing and prospective customers who require Trade Finance expertise and advice
- Tailor and construct bespoke solutions to meet the needs of the customer's Trade Finance requirements to the satisfaction of the bank and
- Drive performance through proactively engaging with Regional Business Centres to build professional relationships with customers and external organisations, raising awareness of the Trade Finance proposition
- Assisting with the pricing of the Trade Finance products for the department
- Targeting and cold calling (where desirable/feasible) potential customers
