Our client
Our client is one of Asia’s leading providers of financial services including retail, business and institutional banking, corporate finance and broking.
The role
- Identify and generate new Trade business sales while continuing to build the regional GTB platform and grow the existing portfolio and market share.
- Expand the level of Trade business generated from existing clients in Hong Kong and mainland China and the immediate region. There is a particular focus on driving new big ticket vanilla trade deals with large corporate clients.
- Develop productive working relationship with Relationship Executives and Managers to optimise new Trade business opportunities.
- Advocate and help to develop (with the Product team in Singapore) new Trade products to enhance the Bank’s Trade product offering
- Identify and assess the risks that could prevent Trade from achieving its revenue growth targets. Plan and execute risk mitigating procedures. On a regular basis, report and discuss the results of risk management performed within the business.
- Work effectively with external Clients and internally with, amongst others, Relationship Executives, other parts of GTB, and Risk to meet or exceed the objectives and revenue growth targets of the business.
- Lead and grow a team of 5.
The person
This will be a demanding role and form a key part of the Asian GTB leadership. You will need;
- At least 10 years experience in banking or related financial services.
- Client contact, relationship or sales experience.
- Dealing with Large Corporate client base
- Minimum 5 years Trade finance experience preferably in a sales role.
- Understanding of the impact of technology and how it supports Trade.
- An established Trade client base.
- Good network of contacts with Financial Institutions.
- Experience with clients involved in commodities and natural resources would be an advantage
- Fluent English, Mandarin a strong advantage.
