Directs the ongoing support given to the warehouse network, providing warehouse operations and technology support to deliver strategic operating plans through cost efficient, integrated logistics systems. Leads initiatives to deliver standardized methods and applications across warehouse platforms. Continually integrates with finance, procurement, transportation operations, materials management, and customer operations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities

  • Establish cross functional relationships in a matrix organization to drive the warehouse agenda
  • Establish, lead and execute strategic plans across multiple platforms
  • Deliver consistent results against a multi layered warehouse budget
  • Develop relationships with customers and other manufactures to gain insight in industry knowledge
  • Develop relationships with warehouse technology providers to gain insight in technology trends and develop innovative warehouse solutions
  • Deliver improvement strategies through initiatives and standard methods and applications
  • Will assist with other duties and assignments as needed.

    Position Qualifications

  • 4 year degree in Business or related field highly preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience highly preferred with the following areas:
    o Functional experience leading warehouse operations in a plant and/or forward distribution center. Temperature controlled experience a plus.
    o Operational experience working with distribution network and service providers
    o Experience with Supply Chain modeling and optimization based on defined strategies
    o Cross functional supply chain experience (demand planning, supply planning, transportation, customer operations, plant operations)
    o Working knowledge of warehouse technology integration points to customers, suppliers, Enterprise Resource Planning systems (preferably SAP), transportation systems, and material handling equipment
    o Experience creating and managing a warehouse operations budget
    o Experience with labor management strategies to drive productivity improvement
    o Experience managing cross functional supply chain projects
  • Proficient in use of Windows based systems including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and a general aptitude to various software systems, including WMS
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Must be detail orientated, with proficiency in managing to Key Performance Measurements
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written, and interpersonal communication skills to be effective in a cross-functional team setting
