Overall Summary of the Job:

Global Markets have established an extremely successful business, working in conjunction with Corporate Banking to cross sell clients into a range of Global Markets asset classes. The next exciting phase of development will be to work closely with Corporate Banking to target the growth of the client base predominantly in West Coast region of the US. Target clients will be in the Middle Market and Large Corporate segments.

We therefore seek an experienced individual to join our team and help secure these aggressive growth aspirations.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

? Responsible for sales of Global Markets products into the Corporate Bank customer base.

? Role is multi-product and involves building and maintaining business relationships with large US corporations and Middle Market Enterprises, providing risk management advisory services across several asset classes. 

? Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients; research and propose new business relationships. Accounts are of a complex nature and size, encompassing foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives, commodities and equity / debt capital markets.

? Develop knowledge of client needs requirements; coordinate efforts to service client organizations. Effectively communicate capabilities and competitive edge in this space, and advise clients on managing areas of market risk existing within their business.

? Actively identify cross-sales and cross-referral opportunities to other group product providers. 

? Responsible for developing and tracking our business plan to expand existing client relationships.

? Proactively participate with other client team members and traders who service accounts - This extends to the client on-boarding, documentation and credit processes.

Decision-Making Responsibility:

Uses initiative and independent judgement to analyze, problem solve and proactively respond to client issues. Expected to make the necessary decisions to carry out own job responsibilities and meet primary goals and objectives.  Evaluates and escalates complex issues and/or problems to manager.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

? Minimum 5 years corporate client facing sales experience.

? Ideally, a University degree in Economics, Finance, mathematics or related discipline.

? Be able to demonstrate a track record of successfully managing client needs and delivering risk management solutions.

? Must have knowledge of and experience with specific product sales/compliance, the market and of complex and diverse instruments (foreign exchange derivatives, interest rate derivatives, equity derivatives, commodities, equity and debt capital markets).

? As the target market is based in the West Coast region, knowledge of local clients and market is preferrable

? Important – be able demonstrate a culture / approach of team first, self second.
