JOB DESCRIPTION
They are looking for a senior new sales manager for Zurich, to cover Swiss fund managers and private banks.
- Candidates must have the gravitas to understand their client companies from CEO downwards and be completely conversant with client strategy;
- Sales is defined as pure new business development. Relationship Managers defend the franchise, and are targeted on up-and cross-selling.
- The successful candidate will work with client service delivery colleagues in Luxembourg and Dublin to approach their local asset manager CEOs and CIOs and investment advisors to increase wallet share;
- Senior management are ready and willing to involve themselves in deals if requested;
Candidate Profile:
- We are looking for a sales expert who is a strategic thinker and feels comfortable not only interfacing with the C-suite but also when dealing with big business issues; not just the nuts and bolts;
- Ideally you will be native (or as good as native) Swiss, with mastery of German, English and French; and a sound knowledge of the local financial infrastructure;
- It would be a great advantage to at some point in their career have worked for an anglo-saxon institution.
- You must possess business acumen and gravitas;
- Cross-border experience is essential;
- The ideal candidate will be driven, and personally motivated, prepared to operate outside their comfort zone, with the capacity to ensure that the organisation around them can evolve;
- In-depth knowledge of investor services is obviously highly valuable. However, this may come from associated fields (e.g. fund management, IT, consultancy) provided you have the intelligence and business sense to learn quickly;
- Good IT skills necessary to support complex cross-border fund administration instrument solutions, and alternative asset classes;
