As part of the SNC-Lavalin group of companies, SNC-Lavalin T D designs, develops, and delivers engineering, including system planning and studies, procurement, and construction solutions for high voltage power transmission line and substation projects from our offices in North America, and abroad from our Brazilian office.

SNC-Lavalin T D has an exciting full time career opportunity for a Director’s Assistant. Based out of our Calgary office and reporting to our Program Director, the Director’s Assistant is responsible for performing complex administrative duties in a confidential manner with a strong quality focus.

Accountabilities for the Director’s Assistant include:

·     Maintaining highly confidential records and preparing related reports.

·     E-mail and calendar management.

·     Composing and editing correspondence and other documents.

·     Responding to internal/external telephone queries and written requests.

·     Scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, completing expense reports and timesheets.

·     Coordinating and attending meetings and taking minutes.

·     Organizing material for and preparation of presentations, expression of interests, client envelopes, etc.

·     Supporting the project, proposals and the estimating teams and Program Director which includes gathering and organizing material for and writing client proposals, presentations and procedure.

·     Coordinating and arranging meetings, questions, documents and communication to/from the client.

·     Understanding and documenting business process, and manage the set of processes and procedures.

 

Qualifications for the position include:

·     Post-secondary diploma or certificate in administration is preferred.

·     A minimum of 5 years administrative experience supporting senior management.

·     In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visio.

·     A willingness to learn new skills and serve as support in a number of capacities.

·     Proven organizational skills with the ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.

·     Strong customer service orientation.

·     The ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with all levels of staff and management.

·     Previous experience working for engineering firm would be an asset.
