Disability Case Manager

Health Management

Vancouver, BC

Full-Time

Healthy employees lead to higher engagement, less strain on benefit plans, and better organizational results. Addressing the complexity of health issues in today’s workplace requires systematic and well-integrated solutions. Our health management program is results-focused and designed to lead to a strong return on investment and a healthier workforce.

Our Disability Case Managers are responsible for assisting employees on behalf of the employer when the employee is off work or at risk of being off work for health reasons. They assess any barriers to a successful and timely return-to-work and engage with stakeholders to implement strategies to address those identified barriers and support return to work or an appropriate alternative plan.

They conduct case assessments, determine an appropriate return-to-work (RTW) program for short-term (STD) and long-term (LTD) disability cases, and work continuously to grow strong relationships with their clients.

Succeeding as a Disability Case Manager will require the following core qualifications and skills:

·          You have a university degree and professional designations as a nurse, occupational therapist, or social worker. Additional course work or subject matter expertise in any or all of the following is ideal:  occupational health, rehabilitation, mediation, human resource management, disability legislation, or trauma counseling.

·          You have 3+ years of experience as a case coordinator or manager.

·          You have strong interpersonal and helping skills along with superior assessment and problem-solving skills.

·          You consider yourself an accountable, empathetic case manager who enjoys the challenge and responsibility of helping people in their lives.

·          You are an innovative and adaptive professional, and are committed to finding new ways to help employees stay engaged and get back to work.
