Responsibilities
The Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Analyst assists the BC/DR Manager of the Retail Line of Business in planning and implementing business continuity procedures to ensure the continued accessibility and use of Retail resources (facilities, call centers, systems) in case of emergency or disaster. The candidate will assist in developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and programs for ensuring the recovery, security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Coordinates, tests, and administers disaster recovery and resumption plans.
Coordinates the planning and organization of business continuity recovery projects.
Assists in the development of disaster recovery strategies, solutions and plans ensuring that information technology is capable of executing an effective recovery process in response to a business interruption or disaster.
Gathers and analyzes LOB information to develop improved recovery plans and strategies.
Leads disaster recovery meetings related to business recovery strategies
Liaises with local site coordinators to facilitate the completion of BC/DR plans and testing.
Develops reports and documentation of projects, test results, analyses, or other processes as required.
Coordinates routine updates to information documented in the business continuity plan.
Extended hours are required for completing recovery exercises and some projects, as well as during actual declared disasters.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree:
Computer Science, Audit, Networking or other computer related field of study
- Broad range of skills with different technical platforms (servers, networks, storage, security, etc.).
- 1 – 3 years experience in business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- 5 – 8 years of information technology experience.
- Highly developed project management skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
