Disaster Recovery Contract Manager Job in Pleasanton, California Us

This new Disaster Recovery Contract Manager position reports to the Senior Manager/Director, Disaster Recovery Governance and Contract who is responsible for managing KP and IBM's Disaster Recovery Business and Services from a contractual perspective: this includes the initiation, collection, management, coordination, consolidation, prioritization, and reporting of disaster recovery projects and work orders, routine service requests, and requests for new and additional disaster recovery services to IBM.
The Disaster Recovery Contract Manager is responsible for managing the Disaster Recovery contracts and work orders throughout their lifecycle, including negotiating and updating the contract for modifications surrounding service level agreements, resource units, technical standards, scope changes and any other changes as needed. The Disaster Recovery Contract Manager will ensure accurate tracking of contract changes, amendments, and revisions to all in-scope Disaster Recovery agreements. The Contract Manager, in conjunction with the SSM IBM team, will act as a single point of contact for all in scope Disaster Recovery contract issues surrounding the IBM agreement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the in-scope Disaster Recovery contracts and work orders throughout their lifecycle, including negotiating and updating the contract for modifications surrounding contractual and work order changes (including service levels, deliverables, scope changes, technical standards, resource units, etc.)
- Managing contract 'get to green' plans
- Conduct Disaster Recovery contract document audits for compliance (e.g. SOW, Work Orders, Project Documentation)
- Lead in resolving contractual disputes regarding Disaster Recovery contracts and/or Work Orders
- Support the SSM contract change and Request for Service process
- Track and assess the impact of Disaster Recovery contract changes, amendments, and revisions to all in-scope IBM agreements
- Act as the single point of contact for all Disaster Recovery in-scope IBM agreements and assist in providing a singular definition of contract language and interpretation
- Supports IBM compliance with SSM supplier reporting and risk management processes
- Acts as a liaison between IBM, Procurement, and Kaiser's legal department on contract issues and questions that require their input
- Act as the single point of contact for all Disaster Recovery in-scope agreements. Interact daily with IBM and/or other suppliers
- Support all SSM activities surrounding supplier management including reporting and governance, risk and financial management, Request for Service (RFS), etc.
- Lead/Participate in contract briefings as needed
- Provide contractual reporting inputs and review reporting outputs including:
updating all contract information updating contract change log tracking project and work order burn rates
- Assist with providing the following for Disaster Recovery contracts and Work Orders:
cost analysis, budget information and monthly forecasts resource planning and forecasting Ensures suppliers are adhering to contractual governance processes
- Implements all changes and updates to Disaster Recovery contracts
- Coordinates Disaster Recovery changes into the overall SSM contract change process, driving Disaster Recovery change requests including working with the SSM to define Disaster Recovery specific change request elements and prioritize change log
- Contributes to supplier governance forums
- Implements the contract outcomes of benchmarking and any other improvements stemming from continuous improvements (e.g., SLAs) and audits to ensure the contract continues to deliver value to KPIT.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in business, IT, operations, computer science or related technical field, or equivalent IT experience and or business or law degree with substantial IT contracting experience.
- Eight or more years of related experience, with 3+ years managing contracts in large, complex organizations, particularly with respect to governing external infrastructure suppliers to deliver Disaster Recovery services at the scales commensurate with the scope of this position (e.g., a budget of ~$10M/yr)
- Knowledge of contract administration in an outsourced environment preferred. Knowledge of Disaster Recovery contractual conventions including contract processes, methodologies, change management and legal knowledge (strongly preferred)
- Understanding of Disaster Recovery contracts and value drivers, with ability to work with procurement and legal teams to negotiate contracts
- Strong understanding and awareness of Disaster Recovery industry and peer group contractual benchmarking
- Experience with operating in an governance capacity for a large scale outsourcing contract
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of Kaiser's commercial standards, procedures and procurement processes
- Previous experience in Disaster Recovery within the healthcare industry is highly desirable
