Disaster Response Officer Job in East London, London Uk
We are seeking an experienced Disaster Response officer / Disaster Management officer for our local authority client is East London.
You will be working with in a dedicated team planning, coordinating and implementing the emergency response arrangements for the borough. You will produce and test emergency plans, attend and present at internal and external meetings with other stakeholders (Metropolitan Police, Central Government, Highways Agency etc.) and produce reports and deliver
We are seeking someone with experience as a Resilience Officer/ Disaster Management Officer or Disater Response Officer who holds a recognised qualification in emergency planning or civil protection. The successful candidate will also have a good working knowledge of the operational, strategic and health Safety issues for a local authority emergency planning service. A thorough knowledge of associated legislation is also required. It would be advantageous if the successful candidate has experience as an Airwave Trainer.
