Display Specialist
Why John Deere
- Consult with clients (internal customers) to gather event information: site visits, logistics, negotiate with service providers for goods and services, produce show-event diagrams and layouts, all to ensure proper execution.
- Work closely with warehouse coordinator on logistics to maintainan accurate exhibit inventory system.
- Negotiate contracts with external suppliers for delivery of services for events.
- Organize, coordinate, approve and monitor all material and services to meet project objectives and budget.
- Work with the display fabrication department, and outside vendors to design and produce high-grade displays.
- Provide on-site management of events to ensure the delivery, installation and execution of contracted products and services.
- Promote the brand and be a guardian of its proper use.
What It Takes
- Project management experience, including, needs gathering and budget management; with the proven ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
- 3 years of industry trade show and/or event planning experience. This includes knowledge of advertising and promotions as well.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
- Proficiency in PhotoShop.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Firm, focused decision-making skills with the ability to make instant decisions, including negotiation, troubleshooting and the proven ability to excel under deadlines and pressure.
- Able and willing to travel up to 30% in support of events; travel may extend multiple weeks at times.
- Proficiency in InDesign, CAD, or Pro-E.
- Experience working with external suppliers through trade shows/event planning.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience driving heavy machinery and/or John Deere equipment.
- Familiarity with John Deere equipment.
