The funds strategies also include arbitrage, special sits, and bankruptcies.  The position will see you work in a small team where you will need a smell for distressed valuations, a keen eye for company balance sheets and proactive attitude to new investment ideas.

The team is looking for an inquisitive character that is eager to learn from senior members in the firm. They look highly upon candidates that go above and beyond their job and are keen to get their views across with the intention of creating insightful discussion. They need a candidate that can handle sitting opposite the co-founder of the firm and enjoys debating their ideas (whether wrong or right).

 Responsibilities will include:-

• Conducting detailed business, financial, capital structure, valuation and restructuring analysis to determine the risks and rewards of potential investments.

Our client is looking for a candidate as follows:-

• Understanding of the key distressed valuation methodologies

• An outstanding academic record

• Strong math, accounting and financial modelling skills with a high level of attention to detail.

• Detailed understanding of the risk/returns associated with a variety of debt and equity investments.

• Extensive computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint are required.

• Strong verbal and written skills are required. A naturally enthusiastic and charismatic attitude.

The competition for this position will be high therefore you must be able to demonstrate that you are hardworking, highly motivated and driven, intellectually curious, interested in financial markets.

The hiring manager is looking for an outperformer therefore excellent interpersonal plus technical skills are required.

Candidates with fluency in another European Language will be at a distinct advantage.
