Distribution Centre manager/ Operations manager/ Warehouse manager Job in Calgary, Alberta Canada
Our client is a leader in distribution of Consumer Packaged Goods. They are seeking Distribution Centre Manager / Warehouse Manager / Operations manager for their DC in Calgary, AB. Relocation expenses will be paid for the right candidate.
Besides a handsome compensation package, this role offers you the opportunity to manage a central DC/ warehouse utilizing middle management. This role offers the challenge to continuously improve existing processes, reduce costs, and implement LEAN Six Sigma principles to optimize operational processes. You will get the opportunity to manage performances, coach, and mentor and develop your teams against established KPIs. You will lay down shift budgets and work with operating costs with full PL responsibility of DC operations. You will maximize daily operations, oversee and streamline workflows through out the DC.
The ideal candidate would have minimum 8 years management experience as DC manager / Operations Manager/ Warehouse Manager ideally in a 3rd party logistics (3PL) or central warehouse facility. Experience in operations, labor planning is a MUST have. Experience with GMP regulated environment is a definite asset. Prior experience working in food, pharmaceutical distribution is a definite asset. Experience managing in excess of 30,000 SKUs is preferred. Experience with automation and WMS/ MRP/ ERP is a definite asset. People skills and a management style of engaging staff is a MUST have. CITT or P.Log certifications are preferred.
