Distribution Channel Manager 

 
The Distribution Channel Manager is responsible for growth in number and size of distribution channel partners for the overall lab essential portfolio to optimize geographical and segment coverage  Develop high level corporate contacts to build relationship.  Build strategic plan and implement tactical marketing plan to drive brand preference  at distributor s and at the customer level. Point of contact for Distributors for  information regarding EMD sales and Marketing groups. Negotiate contracts and set price strategy.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Develop Implement strategies and tactics that drive top line and profitable growth through multiple distribution channel partners.
•Increase channels to market to reduce liability and increase LE leverage.
•Actively manage channel partners to ensure MM business needs are met.
•Implementation of segment specific strategies for the business field in NA
•Act as voice for Channel partners
•Product Promotion implementation
•Distributor  Training
•Work with and align channel partners approach to the market
•Work with sales force to maximize channel selection to increase success
•Collation of periodic pricing files for each distributor

  1. Budget allocation
  2. Addition or removal of channel partners in conjunction with Head of Sales Support and Market Segment Managers
  3. Pricing in conjunction with Pricing Team
  4. Product access
  5. Tactical and campaign access
  6. Promotion creation
  7. Advertising "in channel" publications
  8. Incentives
  9. Contract terms in conjunction with Head of Sales Support and Legal

 
This position will deal with all functional areas.

Requires a BS in a Chemistry or Life Sciences discipline (Master's Degree preferred)
3--5 years of Sales and Marketing experience required, preferably in a biotechnology or life sciences industry
3 years of Distribution Management experience required
 
Experience: 5years + diverse commercial experience (at least 3 years in management preferably in at least two of sales management, product management, sector management, distributor management) in closely related industry. Track record in driving improvement programs, software changes, process improvements etc
 
Self starter, results orientated, highly analytical, strategic thinker, team player
