Distribution Compliance Manager – Insurance recruitment

Our client is a leading insurance player with a long history of success round the globe. A rare opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Compliance Manager to look after their distribution channels  

The Role

Reporting to the Team Head, you will be fully responsible for:

• Identifying non-compliant sales practices by performing regular reviews of agents, monitoring exceptional patterns and introducing corrective / preventive action
• Handling distributor-related complaints through investigations, analyzing trends and recommending corrective actions
• Updating the Company’s Compliance Manual and organizing effective compliance trainings for internal staff
• Reviewing the operational process of various departments to ensure the compliance of regulatory and legislative requirements, and setting up the best practice of compliance for these departments
• Collaborating with external regulators in their investigations and collection of evidence
• Assessing compliance risks in new business initiatives, i.e. new products channels
• Promoting compliance awareness in all distribution channels on legislative and internal obligations by developing inclusive training and effective communication

The Successful Applicant

You will be a University Graduate holding a degree in law and/or economics preferred with at least 4-5 years gained within an insurance compliance function.  You will possess sound knowledge of regulatory laws and have strong communication analytical skills. Hands on experience with distribution compliance will be an advantage.  Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken is essential.
