SUMMARY
The overall responsibility of this position is to provide
direct daily supervision of PDC Personnel to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the Distribution Center.  Assist in the development of programs to train and motivate personnel to maximize productivity and quality.   Develop and implement appropriate work schedules and assignments to assure effective and efficient operation in accordance with published performance standards and within budgetary guidelines.

PERSONALLY PERFORMED DUTIES
The following is a summary of some of the primary functions of this position.  Additional duties may be assigned.

 

·         Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and discipline subordinates where appropriate and within established guidelines by Mobis Parts America and defined in the Employee Handbook.

·         Develop and implement daily plans for resource allocations.   Ensure that equipment is utilized and maintained to gain maximum efficiency through development and administration of sound preventative maintenance programs.

·         Supervise all inbound receipts and outbound shipments to ensure that they are executed within published standards and budgetary guidelines.

·         Ensure that all records and reports regarding activity are prepared as required.  Review operating goals and standards and develop appropriate plans for attainment.

·         Supervise the integrity of all material movements to ensure proper counts and controls.

·         Evaluate housekeeping, security and sanitation levels.   Operate in compliance with all Local, State and Federal Regulations and within the framework of established work processes.

·         Assist in planning effective space utilization to meet prescribed cost and efficiency standards.  Continually evaluate space utilization and recommend methods and processes for improving layout.

·         Assist in conducting physical and cycle inventories and quality inspections when required.

·         Work to maintain operational and Capital budgets.  Provide input to the PDC Manager for the development of Annual Operational and Capital Budgets.

·         Prepare and conduct quarterly and annual Processor Performance Reviews.

·         Work directly with the Distribution Center Manager to develop plans, processes and budgets.

·         Ensure a safe work environment.

 

    JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

·         High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

·         Combination of education and 3-5 yrs experience in Distribution Center or Warehouse

·         Front Line supervisory experience with demonstrated skills in leadership, organization and communication

·         Computer literate; ability to use PC to communicate and retrieve information

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Work effectively in unsure circumstances; Strong problem solving skills

·         Results Oriented

·         Strong customer focus, awareness and sensitivity

·         Ability to comprehend and administer established company policies
