As our Warehouse Supervisor at our Marina del Rey DC, you'll assure that all internal and external customers receive Nike Team Sports products in a timely, cost effective and accurate manner. You'll build positive employee relationships and balance the work according to business needs. You'll also continually communicate, achieve and/or exceed the goals and objectives of the NTS organization. You'll pro-actively identify and lead positive change and lead and influence the performance of 20 - 65 fulltime, and temporary contract employees involved in NTS Foothill DC operations. You'll actively listen and address employee and operational concerns; lead the development and document performance benchmarks for individual and department activities; and pro-actively manage all assignments to ensure tasks are completed properly. You'll analyze operational requirements, determine appropriate actions and execute and follow up on actual results achieved. You'll schedule work; adjust staffing in a timely manner to ensure maximum effectiveness throughout assigned areas of responsibility; and lead the justification and recruitment of additional or replacement hourly staff members based on operational need. In addition, you'll lead the interview and selection process of DC material handlers. 306427 Qualifications Requirements for the position include: - Associate's degree with at least 3 years supervisory/lead experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment - Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred - Experience with automated distribution systems and budgets - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Basic PC skills - Proven decision making and problem-solving skills - Attention to details and ability to work well under pressure - Strong sense of urgency and able to meet deadlines - Excellent written, verbal and customer services skills - Ability to work across functions - Ability to embrace and promote other's ideas - Ability to motive others and to stay focused - Ability to understand and foster a diverse workforce - Flexible with working late hours and weekends as needed to support the business - Ability to lift up to 40 pounds - Visual acuity, including color and depth perception, field of vision and auditory ability to receive verbal communication To ensure that we continue to hire competent, ethical and trustworthy individuals, all candidates must successfully complete a thorough background investigation prior to receiving any offer of employment from Nike.
