About the Job
Under the direction of Vice President of Sales for the Health Environmental Solutions Group, the Distributor Sales Manager is responsible for the development of an overall strategic sales plan, including: product placement, promotion, and pricing for Distributor Accounts.
- Secure account orders weekly and meet sales budgets.
- Develop, maintain/update account forecasts to plan to insure BP achievement.
- Maintain account status with Credit and Accounting Departments (ie., reconcile chargeback issues, etc.)
- Compile all necessary corporate/regional reports.
- Develop working relationships with corporate managers.
- Develop an account Business Plan capable of achieving the assigned sales budget.
- Negotiate MDF Program with Senior Director as well as ATS form submission
- Develop and execute advertising programs to maximize sales potential.
- Develop account relationships so as to gain preferred positioning for Sharp products.
- Develop distributor programs to drive sell thru in dealer accounts
- Analyze and develop sales objectives by category for each assigned account
- Monitor target accounts through distribution
- Assist Sharp in trade shows and dealer special events
- Attend Distributor selling shows
- A minimum of eight years consumer appliance product sales experience.
- A knowledge of the appliance industry and experience with large regional and national distributors
- Possess a bachelor's degree in business, management, sales or the equivalent there of.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Experience managing national accounts.
- Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft office software, excel and PowerPoint.
- Possess a high level of energy, integrity execution skills.
- Up to 40% travel required across the US.
