This position is at our District office in Hopkins, MN
Position Overview: The District Crane Manager will read, understand and implement the TIC Corporate Crane Procedures (CCP) Manual. The District Crane Manager will provide crane and rigging planning support, inspections and perform periodic assessments to verify projects are in compliance with Corporate Crane and Rigging Procedures.
Education/Training/Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years construction experience.
- Must have the skills and ability to oversee and supervise all aspects of the Corporate Crane Procedure (CCP) Manual on highly complex and industrial projects.
- Must have knowledge of ASHA, ANSI, State, and TIC requirements.
- Possess written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience as a crane operator and NCCCO certification is preferable.
- 3d lift plan knowledge is required or training scheduled within 90 days of position designation.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
Essential Functions:
- Read, understand and implement all elements of the Corporate Crane Procedures (CCP) manual.
- Administration of Authorized Operator and Authorized Examiner process.
- Manage District's compliance with company crane procedures and policies.
- Knowledgeable of Corporate Crane Procedures manual.
- Knowlegeable of applicable industry standards and apply them as needed.
- Assist in proper crane incident reporting.
- Ongoing involvement in District's crane operations.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, drive, and climb frequently and to squat, kneel, bend, twist, or crawl occasionally.
Description: This position requires a great deal of stamina with the ability to perform the above essential function under considerable pressure and within tight timetables. The position also requires working long hours from time-to-time as business necessitates.
Lifting: Must be able to lift or carry up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 25 lbs. occasionally for short distances.
Vision: Must have normal visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination.
Physical Requirements: Upper extremity usage, motor coordination, range of motion, hearing, and balance should be in a range to safely preclude harm or injury to the employee or to other employees.
