During the well life, our service ensures zonal isolation of the critical producing zones while protecting precious groundwater. ROLE SYNOPSIS Manages the operations of a service facility, repair facility or depot at the district, area, or region level. Work on a flexible schedule supervising and directing the equipment and maintenance activities of the district. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES * Supervising 3-5 lead mechanics to assure the operational readiness of pressure pumping service equipment. * Monitor expenses and control parts inventory, confer with Operations Supervisors on equipment availability and status to meet service commitments. * Monitors labor, supplies, and parts expenses in accordance with all budgets * Select and schedule jobs for mechanics and provides advice to District and Region employees on maintenance matters. * Ensures that district equipment is properly maintained through strict administration of approved preventive maintenance systems * Responsible for proper utilization of personnel in performing emergency repairs and component change outs * Supervises and trains mechanics and maintains M-CAP training records * Coordinates maintenance activities with operations * Provides technical assistance to personnel regarding maintenance topics * Maintains equipment in accordance with all DOT equipment regulations and maintenance files as required REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * 7+ years experience in field, operations or other equivalent experience * 3 years supervisory experience, knowledge of principles of management and supervision is required * Intermediate/Advance MS Office skills and abilities; primarily Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook * Basic knowledge of company's business practices including with significant DOT experience; Health and Safety * Environmental (HSE) and compliance * Knowledge of company's business practices and policies DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Understanding of continuous improvement * Ability to direct and manage people * Interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills * Problem solving capabilities, team player and strong multi-tasker EDUCATION: * Associates Degree or other advanced Technical degree in diesel mechanics * Other relevant mechanical trade preferred; extensive experience in gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics relevant to specialized pumping service equipment maintenance is preferred * OTHER DETAILS * May report to the District Manager along with District Operations Supervisor, Facilities Supervisor, and District Technical Supervisor * May also supervise warehouse workers, service technicians, machinists, and related shop labor, should already have thier own tools. * Participate actively in quality improvement efforts * Possibly could be on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week * Frequent travel to job locations on a regular basis is required COMPANY OVERVIEW Baker Hughes serves the worldwide oil and natural gas industry with reservoir consulting and products and services for drilling, formation evaluation, completion and production.
