Position Description:
• Review all facets of store operations and counsel owners in maximizing sales and profits • Facilitate or assist in the implementation of approved store layouts, leasehold improvements, equipment, and POP, product merchandising and personnel training of new stores, remodels, and resets within or outside of the assigned district • Prepare reports, proposals and communicate day to day issues and events • Initiate the development of new stores through existing customers and new prospects and continuously work toward upgrading existing stores • Develop and submit for approval merchandising plans, equipment orders and authorized DSD item vendor list for each new store, remodel, and reset • Present new Save-A-Lot Programs and promote all existing programs and products Qualifications/Skills:
• Minimum 5 years retail management experience; Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Experience in multi-unit retail management a plus • Strong business acumen that includes customer focus, strategic agility and motivating others • Excellent written and oral communication skills and superior management/leadership skills • Extensive knowledge and understanding of PL and key components to drive and sustain positive financial results • Solid background in perishable and produce operations / merchandising • Strong computer skills and proficiencies in Power Point, Word, Excel and E-mail Who is Save-A-Lot?
