Overview:

The DM position is responsible for monitoring and managing the sales staff, which includes: providing the Professional Employer Consultant (PEC) with the necessary tools and resources to be effective, coaching and developing the PECs on the skills and techniques of selling as well as on the products and services offered by Oasis Outsourcing and for creating and maintaining a successful and profitable list of satisfied clients.

Business Contributions:

The output generated by the DM position is the assistance provided to their sales staff and they are held accountable for the number and profitability of sales, expense control, sales activity and accountability and  the satisfaction and retention of clients. The five major business contributions the DM provides to Oasis Outsourcing are to:

·        Develop and maintain district market at a profitable level

·        Facilitate PEC performance and sales closings (meeting annual adjusted revenue targets)

·        Meet district sales gross profit targets, maintain wage retention targets, minimum benefit participation targets and activity targets

·        Ensuring positive and respectful relationships that represent the missions and values of the organization with all customers including prospects, external clients, and internal staff

·        Uses technology including of SalesLogix to provide accurate pipeline and metrics reports for management; and proposal system to generate accurate proposals and holds PEC's accountable for same.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Management of a sales staff is a complex responsibility that requires a vast array of knowledge and abilities. DMs must have the ability to deal with business managers, business owners, and CEOs of small to mid-sized organizations, as well as with the sales staff and other internal constituents within Oasis Outsourcing. DMs must also have the ability and passion to motivate and develop their sales staff in order to maximize their production.    

Knowledge:

·         Sales cycle and selling techniques

·         Business planning – how to acquire and organize prospect data, develop a sales approach, and organize time

Skills:

·         Coaching and Developing – conduct trainings and teach PECs how to conduct PEO sales, how to finalize a sale, and information on products and services offered by Oasis Outsourcing

·         Presenting – help PECs conduct proposal and closing sales meetings with clients

·         Facilitating – serve as liaison between PEC and internal departments (e.g., underwriting and risk management)

·         Goal setting – set reasonable, yet high targets for PECs, and create a plan for attaining those targets

Education, Experience, and Training:

·         College degree is strongly recommended

·         Previous sales experience is strongly recommended

·         Previous sales managerial experience is strongly recommended
